Students in grades 3 through 8 take the ISAT in reading and mathematics. In addition, students in grades 4 and 7 also take the ISAT in science. Information regarding testing dates and times will be available from your child’s school.
In order to inform educators, parents, students and the general public of the nature of the tests, the Student Assessment Division of the Illinois State Board of Education provide sample books in each of the fundamental learning areas assessed. These samples are meant to give educators and students a general sense of how items are formatted for ISAT.
