Department of Student Learning - Curriculum

Our program

The District 25 curriculum emphasizes the development of strong basic skills in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Instruction in fine arts, physical education, and life skills is included at all grade levels. The middle school curriculum also includes instruction in foreign language and practical arts.

Technology is incorporated into the curriculum as part of everyday learning activities. Our curriculum goes far beyond the basics in all subjects as we help students develop the critical thinking skills necessary to analyze and evaluate information and solve problems.

If you have questions about the District 25 curriculum, please call the Department of Instruction at 1-847-758-4890.

Summer programs

District 25 offers academic and enrichment classes each summer at reasonable cost. The summer program is coordinated with an Arlington Heights Park District day camp program for parents interested in full-day programs for their children.

For information about summer programs, please call the Department of Instruction at 1-847-758-4890.

A tradition of excellence

District 25 students consistently score above state and national averages on standardized tests in all curricular areas. For a look at District 25's ISAT (Illinois Standards Achievement Tests) results, please see District 25 ISAT Results.
