These district policies and procedures relating to the operation of
this school system are established by the Board of Education under the
authority granted it by the statutes of the State of Illinois, which
enumerate among its duties: "To adopt and enforce
all necessary rules for the management and government of the public
schools of their district."

The purpose of these policies and procedures shall be to establish and set forth the policies adopted by the Board of Education for the guidance of the Board, its employees, the students, and the public in a clear and organized form suitable for ready reference.
