Health Services
Our Mission
The mission of the Health Services Department in Arlington
Heights School District 25 is to work in conjunction with school staff
and families to promote optimal health and safety, thereby facilitating
the educational process for all students.
Our Staff
Each of our schools has a certified school nurse (CSN) assisted by an RN partner, and one of these health professionals will be in the health office every day. Both nurses have taken the same examination through the professional regulation division of State of Illinois to earn their registered nurse license. The certified school nurses have additional training beyond the RN license. Each of them has earned at least a bachelor’s degree, plus an additional Type 73 school nurse certification through the Illinois State Board of Education which involves an internship, some graduate level studies and fulfilling other additional certification requirements. Most of our certified nurses work full time and provide service to two schools. All of our RN’s work part time in one school each.
