Kindergartners starting in the 2020-2021 school year must be 5 years old by September 1st, 2020 to attend Kindergarten.
* The Kindergarten program in Arlington Heights School District 25 is a half-day program (AM & PM half-day sessions) held five days a week at all elementary schools.

How Do I Register my Kindergartner for the 2020-2021 School Year?
Kindergarten Registration is a four-step process. Please know that ALL FOUR STEPS are required before your child is fully registered with Arlington Heights School District 25.
Step 1 (Pre-Registration): Click the following link to complete and submit the online form to request a Kindergarten Registration packet: Pre-Registration Form
Step 2: Beginning the week of January 6th, 2020, a packet of registration information and forms will be mailed to your home address provided during Step 1. Please complete all required forms and collect all requested supporting documentation. One of the forms that all NEW families (families who do not have any students currently attending a District 25 school) must complete is the Verification of Residency Form. Click Here for more information on District 25 Residency Requirements.
Step 3: Attend your school's Kindergarten Packet Dropoff event on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. All seven District 25 elementary schools will be holding this event on that day during the hours of 9:30 - 11:00 am and 4:00 - 6:45 pm. Please plan to drop off your completed registration forms during these hours at the elementary school where your child will attend Kindergarten. At this time you will also need to provide an original official birth certificate to your school (photocopies are not acceptable). A copy of the birth certificate will be taken and the original will be returned to you. An official original copy of the birth certificate may be obtained from the county seat of the area in which the child was born. Click here for information from the Cook County Clerk's office for requesting a birth certificate for children born in Chicago and suburban Cook County.
For additional questions regarding your school's Kindergarten Packet Dropoff, please contact the school's main office. If you are registering after January 22nd, please just return your completed forms to your school's main office as soon as possible.
Step 4 (Registration): On May 4th, 2020, the annual district-wide online registration will go live for all new and returning District 25 families who are registering students for the 2020-2021 school year. That morning you will receive information, via the email address you provided in Step 1, detailing how to complete the online registration process. Please note, this is an additional online registration process, and different than what was completed in Step 1 -- ALL STUDENTS must complete this online registration in order to be enrolled.
