Solids, liquids and gasses...oh my!
Students at Westgate can now call themselves honorary scientists.
Professional scientist and classroom parent, Dr. Eliza Small visited the “Tazzel”, multi-age classrooms.
Dr. Small brought experiments to enhance their science unit on solids, liquids and gases. Students observed the effects of dry ice, and how it turns from ice into a gas, skipping the liquid phase.
And then the students were able to see the affects of dry ice on a liquid.
The students were excited during the entire visit.
They even were able to make their own mini-lava lamps.
