Registering my Kindergartner | 2024-2025 School Year

District 25 offers a Full-Day Kindergarten program for the 2024-2025 school year at all elementary schools. For more information on District 25's Full-Day Kindergarten program, visit www.sd25.org/Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Registration is a three-step process. Please know that all three steps are required before your child is fully registered with Arlington Heights School District 25.

STEP 1: Pre-Registration (Click here to begin)
Please click the link above to complete and submit an online form to request a Kindergarten Registration packet.

STEP 2: Kindergarten Registration Packet Submission
After completing Step 1, a packet of kindergarten registration forms and information will be emailed to you from your school using the contact information that you provided in Step 1. Please complete all required forms and collect all requested supporting documentation and return them to your school's office. There will be a letter from your school included in the packet that is sent to you with directions regarding how and where to return your completed registration materials. It is requested that completed Kindergarten registration forms be returned to your school office as soon as possible.

• Residency: All NEW families (families who do not have any students currently attending a District 25 school) must complete the Verification of Residency Form (form in Spanish). Click Here for more information on District 25 Residency Requirements.
• Birth Certificates:  You will need to provide an original or certified copy of your child's official birth certificate to your school (photocopies are not acceptable).  A certified copy of the official birth certificate may be obtained from the county seat of the area in which the child was born. Click here for information from the Cook County Clerk's office to request a birth certificate for children born in Chicago and suburban Cook County.

STEP 3: Online Registration
Once you submit all required paperwork, you will receive information via the email address you provided in Step 1, detailing how to complete the online registration process.  Please note, this is an additional online registration process, and different from what was completed in Step 1 -- ALL STUDENTS must complete this online registration in order to be enrolled.

General Kindergarten Information:

• Your child must be 5 years old by September 1st, 2024 to attend Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year.
• Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, the Kindergarten program in Arlington Heights School District 25 is a full-day program held five days a week at all elementary schools.
• All students attending a District 25 school must live within the District 25 boundaries. All families will be required to prove that they live at the address provided during registration. For more on residency, visit the bottom of this page.
