The Food & Nutrition Services Department’s mission is to nurture all children through access to nutritious and balanced meals. These meals foster proper growth and development to prepare students for success. The majority of our food & nutrition services team is made up of local community members who work hard to serve our students and are dedicated to their health and wellness.
Under USDA federally funded programs, we provide students with access to a variety of appealing foods. We partner with manufacturers both large and small to provide us with products that best fit our program needs. Many of our vendor partners are local, including our dairy and bread suppliers. We continue to work hard during challenging supply chain times to source high quality products for our students. For the past two years, the USDA has made it possible for us to serve all students free breakfast and lunch through "waivers". These "waivers" have not been extended for the 2022-23 school year. Students will be required to purchase meals this school year, and we are so excited to serve them!
To learn more about our meal programs, please check out pages 21 and 22 in the Parent Student Handbook.
