SNAPSHOT: New building admin!
The new building admins have jumped right into their new roles here in Arlington Heights School District 25, but they still had some time to answer a few quick questions to better indroduce themselves to their communities.
Lindsay Anastacio - Assistant Principal, Windsor Elementary
Why did you originally become an educator?
I have always enjoyed reading and learning and I want others to enjoy it just as much. I fell in love with the field of special education after working for Northwest Special Recreation Association at a young age. The recreation opportunities that we were able to provide children with disabilities was incredible, it was from there that I realized my passion to educate students with disabilities.

Brad Carter - Principal, Westgate Elementary
Why did you originally become an educator?
I was the youngest of six kids and have always been around A LOT of kids (mostly my nieces and nephews). When picking a profession, I wanted to find something that would contribute in supporting my community and making it a better place. Being around my nieces and nephews all the time served as training for the profession.

Steve Perkins - Associate Principal, South Middle School
Why did you originally become an educator?
I have had many teachers throughout my life who impacted me and made me realize that teaching is what I wanted to go into. Both of my parents were also educators their entire careers so I have always been a part of the educational realm.
