Spring Break emails
I have asked the staff to unplug and recharge. They will put away messages on their email accounts and respond to any issues or concerns when they return on Monday, March 31st.
Election Day
On Election Day, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, Greenbrier Elementary School will be used as a polling place all day. We have the following procedures in place to ensure the safety of our students and staff:
-
The polling place for our school is our foyer.
-
Voters will only be allowed to enter through door 1 by the office.
-
Any door connecting our foyer to our school building will be locked.
-
We will hire a full-time building attendant to sit in the area.
-
A District Administrator will be on site that day.
- CAP parents will enter using door 12.
- EC students that use the front entrance will also use door 12 for arrival and dismissal for that day only.
- Walkers will using door 12 for dismissal.
- Late students should still use door 1 by the office.
-
All grades will have indoor recess.
We take the safety and security of our students and staff very seriously. And while these procedures will cause some disruption to our typical day, we are confident that students will continue to have a safe and engaging day of learning.

Important Information for Parents: Medical Restrictions at School
With warmer weather here, children are spending more time playing outside and participating in sports and other activities.
If your child has been seen by a doctor and is returning to school with activity restrictions, please SEND the note to the school nurse and ensure the note includes the following:
-
Physical Education “Gym” Restrictions: Any Physical Education restrictions must also address recess for students in grades K-5.
-
Timeframe for Restrictions: The note must specify the DATE that your child may resume regular activities (e.g., "may return to regular activities on DATE" or "may return in one week").
If the note states "student can resume activities once medically cleared," an additional note will be required to confirm when restrictions are lifted.
For any concussion diagnosis, the doctor must provide clear parameters including restrictions and timeline to return to activities.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us support your child's health and well-being.
