As we approach the Thanksgiving break, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. This time of year is a reminder of the many blessings we share. It’s important to pause and appreciate the efforts of everyone who makes our school such a special place.

To our students, thank you for your hard work, curiosity, and the joy you bring to our classrooms daily. To our dedicated teachers and staff, your commitment to nurturing and guiding our students is truly inspiring, and we are grateful for your continued passion and care. And to our families, thank you for your unwavering support and for partnering with us to help our students grow and succeed. As we take this time to relax and recharge, may we reflect on the many things we are thankful for and come back refreshed, ready to continue the journey together.

I have asked our staff to unplug and recharge. They will put away messages on their email accounts and respond to any issues or concerns when they return on Monday, December 2nd. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Erin's Law

Erin’s Law is an Illinois Public Act that requires us to provide child sexual abuse prevention education for children in early childhood through 8th grade. Our team will be presenting the lessons during December. Additional information and the opt-out form can be found on the D25 website.

Makerspace

The maker space needs empty paper towel tubes (not toilet paper tubes) and empty, flattened cereal boxes. Please have your child bring them in for us to collect. Thank you!

Blood Drive

Bryson is a student in our EC program. In honor of Bryson's 4th Heartiversary, the family hopes you will join them by donating blood or volunteering on Saturday, December 7. Appointments are available through the website. Blood donor requirements have been updated to be more inclusive, so those who may have been ineligible before are now welcome to share the gift of life. There is a critical shortage in our community; if you are willing and able, please join us!  LINK

Cold Weather

Please send your child the appropriate outdoor clothing as our weather gets cold and eventually snows. We will take the children outside for recess unless the temperature with wind chill is below zero. Students must have snow pants and boots to leave the blacktop once snow is on the ground.

Weekly E-Flyers

Please check out the e-flyers in the above link to learn about additional programs that serve our students. There are wonderful activities and services available throughout Arlington Heights and neighboring communities.
