The Process

  • At the June 13, 2023 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a contract with School Exec Connect, an educational search firm, to assist in the process of finding the District's next Superintendent. School Exec Connect will lead the search for the District's next Superintendent through a rigorous process of inviting feedback from the following in Arlington Heights:

    • District 25 Staff
    • District 25 Administration
    • District 25 Middle School Students
    • District 25 PTA Presidents
    • District 25 Union Leadership
    • Arlington Heights Heads of Government
    • Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce & Non-Profit Leaders
    • Greater Arlington Heights Community

Feedback was gathered through forums that targeted each group listed above. Each of those forums were held in person and two forums were held virtually for the greater Arlington Heights Community. Within these forums, School Exec Connect asked attendees to provide input on the District's strengths, the District's challenges, and the characteristics the next Superintendent should possess.

School Exec Connect also asked for feedback via a five minute online survey that was available from September 11 - October 2. This survey was open to everyone in Arlington Heights who wished to give their feedback.

Now that the feedback is gathered, School Exec Connect will present a slate of 5-7 candidates to the Board. The Board will then spend time during Special Closed Session Board Meetings interviewing candidates, with the goal of selecting their top choice to negotiate a contract. Should a contract be reached, the Board would then take formal action at an Open Board Meeting on the next Superintendent's contract.
