Dear parents of AHSD 25
The Food & Nutrition Services Department’s mission is to nurture all children through access to nutritious and balanced meals. These meals foster proper growth and development to prepare students for success. The majority of our food service team is made up of local community members who work hard to serve our students and are dedicated to their health and wellness.
Under USDA federally funded programs, we provide students with access to a variety of appealing foods. We partner with manufacturers both large and small to provide us with products that best fit our program needs. Many of our vendor partners are local, including our dairy and bread suppliers. We continue to work hard during challenging supply chain times to source high quality products for our students.
Due to the impact of the pandemic, the USDA has extended all students access to school meals at no charge. We hope you take this opportunity to try our meals and support our "small business" within our district, as we are a completely self-funded entity of the district.
We hope that this site provides you with information and resources regarding our meal program. Please feel free to contact our Department with any questions you may have.
Director of Food & Nutrition Services
Sandy Voss, RDN, SNS
I joined the District 25 team on January 3rd, 2022. I had previously worked as Director of Food & Nutrition Services for 14 years at Marquardt School District in Glendale Heights, IL. Prior to that, I was the Assistant Director/District Dietitian right here at AHSD25 from 2006-2008. It is great to come back home!
As a Registered Dietitian and School Nutrition Specialist, my passion is to provide high-quality meal programming that supports our students' nutritional needs during the school day. I am honored to lead the wonderful Food & Nutrition Services Team that works hard daily behind the scenes to provide meals for the students of our district.
Food & Nutrition Services
I joined the district in 1998 and started working in the food service program. I have worked both in the schools and at the Dunton Administrative Building. I am currently the Administrative Assistant for the food service department. I have enjoyed working with both the students and staff in the buildings as well as supporting the awesome food service team in this district.
Food & Nutrition Services
I joined the District in 1999 as a "Lunch Lady" when my youngest daughter started 1st grade. My family lives in Arlington Heights and Food Service was the perfect job. I currently work in the Administration Building supporting our Food Service Department. In my free time, I enjoy taking care of my houseplants and gardening.
